Women's Sacred Circles

Hammock welcomes the facilitator of Women's Sacred Circles, Nayia Antoniou. To discover more about the Circles and the facilitator, read the following description below. 

Theme - "The Dark Womb Council" is a space to:

- Gather our Wombs ceremonially together in Circle and tap deep into their needs, voices, secrets, moves, circles, gifts  

- Tune into our own wombs, listening to other ones and co-creating the collective The "Way of the Council" is an ancient practise we will be practising of co-existing and sharing together.

All phases of our Wombs are welcome: bleeding, ovulating, menopause, fertilised, under surgery, even those that have been removed or are non existent according to medicine, their spirit some say will always be around there etc.  

METHODS: - Council Sharing - Shaman drumming/ journeying - Feminine Movement Energising our female body - Mirroring - Mindfulness / Meditation

What is "Women's Circle"? 

Interactive workshops where space to "be" is created via several experiential activities. Each Meeting has a certain Theme.

Why only women?  

"Even though women are seeking and securing power and equality on various fronts, many find they long for a feminine haven.  A place where feminine values and ways of being are not just tolerated but embraced."  "Women have been gathering in circles since the beginning of time to share experiences, stories, thoughts, ideas,  prayers and wisdom. To empower each other." A gentle place for women of all ages and backgrounds to come together and use their voices, be heard & be seen." 

Why circle?  

The circle is the most ancient way for human beings to come together ; around the fire to get equal amount of heat.  In circle, there is no hierarchy and no separation. 

Why ritual? 

It's an act to invite ourselves to arrive in the present moment with a certain intention; with a beginning & an ending; not necessary in a spiritual way.   The repetition drives us away from distraction & provides a level of comfort and familiarity.   

Our Intentions

We seek to connect hearts.  We do not attempt to tell women what they should think or feel.   We seek to create a safe space where women can explore and expand the powerful pieces of common ground we all share.

We offer a space to drop down the roles and be yourself, whoever you are at that time.  

The theme of the very first Women's Circle in Limassol from Nayia will be announced the following days.  

Who is Nayia?  

Nayia Antoniou treasures humor, deep meaningful conversations and synchronicities. She returned back to Cyprus after 21-22 years.   When you meet her maybe ask her why. Previously resided in Greece, Germany and UK.  Strongly flirts with the ‘fact’ that each person is Unique and just by being who they were meant to be is a Gift to the whole World.   “What if you had permission to be who you were truly born to be” she would ask softly and perhaps provoking?   Her intention is to host gatherings that can hold space for all or most of our human parts to be re-membered. Mostly the ones that maybe our western civilization hasn’t really fed, for example feeling, sensing and imagining.   Appreciates the sweet erotic balance of darkness and light and how one needs the other for our human roots to be strong and blossom to share their seeds in this short amount of time we were given in this round Earth planet flowing in the middle of nowhere/everywhere.  She has trained to be a facilitator at “Kokkini Klosti” in Athens, Greece among others and has attended numerous trainings and seminars on education in nature, positive psychology, ecocentric human development, shamanism, experiential education and expression through various art forms.   So far she has had the opportunity to host family workshops, adult self-development workshops and women’s circles during the last 5 years. She believes in paradoxes & variety, thus works as a group facilitator and a lawyer.
