Trigger Points-TPs myofascial TPs is defined as “a hyperirritable  spot, usually within a taut band of skeletal muscle or in the fascia  around the muscle.  This is usually painful upon compression and palpation. This can give  rise to direct pain, referred pain, tenderness, surrounding spasms, and  peripheral entrapment syndromes.  Trigger Points-TPs develop from either stress, repetitive or  overuse of a muscle, trauma or accident, structural imbalance,  improper stretching or no stretching before physical activity.  When a muscle is overused or injured a contraction develops  and knots occur.

About Marey El Hamouly:

Marey has been in the massage and spa therapy industry for nearly 35 years. He is registered with the Empirical Medicine Switzerland- RME, He is the founder and director of Sugar & Spice Spa, the International Massage Academy of Switzerland (IMAS) and he is the president of the worldmassagecouncil.com He has been trained in a wide variety of body therapies ranging from Spa style massage therapies to Eastern and Osteopathic Manual Techniques both in the UK, Switzerland and USA. 

Marey is a trained teacher and is well known in the international circuit for training massage and body therapies having lectured in over 79 cities abroad.
