About the event
This course focuses on therapeutic practices to relieve common ailments through ancient pressure points along energy pathways, as well as the creation and application of herbal balls made from fresh herbs in Thai massage. Students will build on techniques from Levels 1 and 2, integrating them with advanced therapeutic methods to deliver effective relaxation massage and address specific physical needs.
Therapeutic Thai massage is an ancient healing art practiced by the Thai people for thousands of years. It is rooted in the wisdom and experience of the old masters and based on the concept of Sen Sib—the body’s ten energy pathways. According to this belief, illness occurs when one or more of these energy channels become blocked. To restore health, practitioners apply pressure to specific points along these pathways to release the blockages. Although only some of these techniques and pressure points can be explained from an anatomical perspective, the effectiveness of these ancient methods has been well recognized in modern times.
